Shared Steps is a UK co-parenting app that turns what separated parents agreed in mediation into one calm plan both homes follow.
Shared Steps is a co-parenting app for separated parents in the UK. It picks up where family mediation ends, turning the agreement into the plan both homes follow day to day: a shared calendar, handovers, changes either parent can propose and both agree, shared costs, messages and calls. Each parent has their own account, nobody is the primary parent, and there are no scores and no location tracking.
Mediation ends with an agreement. Family life carries on the next morning: the first changed handover, the school trip nobody budgeted for, the summer holidays that still need deciding.
Shared Steps is a co-parenting app for separated parents in the UK that keeps that agreement working. What the parents settled becomes one shared plan: a calendar showing where the children are and when, handover check-ins, shared tasks, a clear record of shared costs, messages, and calls without swapping phone numbers. When life changes, either parent can propose an update, and it goes into the plan only once both agree.
The app is built to stay neutral. Each parent has their own account and nobody owns the family. There are no scores and no location tracking, and Calm check offers a calmer way to word a message before it is sent, which the parent can choose to use or ignore.
Families set up Shared Steps themselves, with one parent inviting the other by code. A mediation practice can recommend the app, but does not get access to the family's messages, costs or files. Practice invitations, case-system integrations and in-app requests to review an arrangement are planned features; families should contact their practice through its usual channels for now.
Shared Steps is made in the UK. One subscription covers the whole family, both parents included.
The short version, and the promises that make Shared Steps different from the co-parenting apps families may already know.
Each parent has their own account. The plan belongs to neither of them.
A change goes into the plan only when both parents say yes.
Handover check-ins share a time the parent chose to send, never where they are.
Parents can talk in the app without handing over a personal number.
Before a message goes, it can suggest a calmer way to say it. The parent decides.
A read-only view lets a child see where they'll be and when. No messages, costs or decisions.
Vector SVG for print and design work, and transparent PNG for everything else.
Select a colour to copy its hex value.
The parents always wear these two colours in the app, and never the brand's.
